Cavern Walks off Mathew Street is Liverpool’s only boutique arcade which is home to specialist retailing and independent shopping. Designer brands are the thing at Cavern Walks where Liverpool football’s WAGS shop.

Horse racing fans will know that Liverpool is home to The Grand National, which takes place every April at Aintree Racecourse. The Grand National is a gruelling four and a half mile race with 30 jumps, including the giant Becher’s Brook.

The aquarium is a great day out, where you can view all things fishy from clown fish to coral reefs.
Liverpool is on the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary and is easy to get to by road with the M58 and the M62 motorways.
